Who looks after your details

Two companies in Finale Ligure run the shop together. Each one looks after the details of what it sells you. Its name is shown as the seller on the price and on your booking.

For anything about your details, write to info@finalebikers.com or ask at the counter.

When you book

• Your name and email, to confirm your booking and send you its link.
• Your mobile number, if you give it, so your guide or the shop can reach you on the day.
• Each rider's riding level, and for rental bikes their height, weight and pedals, to set up the bikes and match the group.

Payments are handled on a secure payment page. We never see your card number.

When you write to us

You can write to the shop on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, by email or in the chat on this website. All of these messages come into one inbox that only the shop's staff can open. We keep:

• Your messages and our replies, with the date and time.
• The name and the number, address or account you write from (your WhatsApp number, your Instagram or Facebook name, your email address).
• Photos, files or voice notes you send us.

We use them to answer you, to make and change your bookings, and to see what was said before when you write again. We never use them for advertising and never sell them.

Our assistant

An assistant helps the staff answer questions about tours, bikes, prices and free seats. To write an answer it sends your message and what it needs from the conversation to an AI service (OpenAI, with Google as the backup). These services work for us: they may not use your messages to train their models. When a question needs a person, or you ask for one, a member of staff takes over. For email, a person reads every reply before it is sent.

How long we keep it

• Conversations: deleted 24 months after the last message. A chat that never led to a booking and where you left no name, email or number is deleted after 90 days.
• The raw copy of each incoming message, as the channel delivers it: deleted after 14 days.
• Your trip on this website, before you book: what you picked (the kind of bike, the dates, how many ride and the bikes) stays in your own browser for at most 7 days after your last change, so it is still there when you come back. It never holds a name, an email, a phone number, a height or a riding level. Empty the trip, or clear this site's data in your browser, to remove it sooner.
• Bookings and payments: kept as long as Italian tax and accounting law requires (usually 10 years), and only what the law asks for.

Who else handles your details

We use these services to run the shop. Each one only handles your details to do its job for us, under a written agreement.

• Meta (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger): carries the messages you send us there.
• Google: carries email when the shop uses Gmail, and is the backup AI service for the assistant.
• OpenAI: the AI service that helps write answers.
• Resend: sends our emails and receives email forwarded to the inbox.
• Supabase: our database, in Frankfurt, Germany.
• Stripe: the secure payment page.
• Vercel: hosts this website.
• Hetzner: runs our servers.

Some of these companies are based in the United States. When your details leave the European Union, they are protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU and US Data Privacy Framework.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, take a copy of or delete your details at any time, and you can ask us to stop using them. Write to info@finalebikers.com, ask at the counter, or send "delete my data" in any chat. The steps are on the page Delete your data.

If you think we got something wrong, you can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
